The Staten Island Yankees began play in 1999. They moved there from Watertown, NY where they were the Indians.

The first two seasons of play, the Staten Island Yankees played at the College of Staten Island Baseball Complex, which currently hosts the Staten Island Tide of the ACBL.

The new stadium opened in 2001, and offers a beatiful view of the New York Harbor and the New York City skyline.

In 2004, the stadium was also the home of the New York Storm, of the United States Pro Cricket League. The US has a pro cricket league? They do not. The league only lasted that one season.

You can see the Statue of Liberty from many of the over 7,000 seats. How cool is that?
